Why are there two different PC long distance cards? |
|
One is geared for long distance calls made mostly within Canada and USA. The other option, the PC International Prepaid Long Distance card, is geared for calls made mostly overseas. That way we can bring you our best possible rates for the long distance calls you make the most.

Can I use the 4.0¢/min. Canada-USA card to make overseas calls? |
|
Yes, you can. However, the overseas rates with this card are just slightly higher than if you use the International card for such calls. Visit our rates page for the full list of countries and a rate comparison.

|
Absolutely! Please keep in mind that some carriers in the USA do not allow access to Canadian toll-free numbers. If this happens, simply try calling from another phone or dial the operator to have your call connected to us.

|
With PC long distance cards, you can only call from within Canada and the USA. You cannot use a PC long distance card to call from overseas back to Canada.

Are there any calling restrictions when I use PC long distance cards? |
|
At this time, you cannot call to or from remote areas of northern British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

How do I use my card to place a call? |
|
Simply scratch off the shaded box on the back of the card to reveal your Card Number, which you will be asked to provide when you place your call.

For calls within Canada and the USA, dial area code + phone number.
For International calls, dial 011 + country code + city code + phone number.

How do PC long distance cards work with a cell phone? |
|
It’s just like placing a call with any other phone, except your cellular service provider will charge you for any applicable cellular air time and service charges. Also, several overseas destinations do have higher rates for calls to cellular phones. Please contact our customer service at 1-87-PCT-INFO-1 (1-877-284-6361) for more information.

When does my card expire? |
|
A PC long distance card expires 6 months from the date of first use. You can check your card’s expiry date anytime by calling 1-87-PCT-INFO-1 (1-877-284-6361) or by registering your account online at pc.ca/longdistance |

How can I check the balance on my card? |
|
When you enter your PC long distance card number at the beginning of every call, the system will tell you the remaining balance on that card, then tell you how many minutes you can talk based on that balance. You can also check your card balance anytime by calling 1-87-PCT-INFO-1 (1-877-284-6361) or by registering your account online at pc.ca/longdistance

Can I transfer my balance to another card? |
|
Yes, you can transfer a remaining balance from an old PC long distance card to a new card prior to the expiry date. Please keep in mind that the two cards must be the same type; you cannot transfer a balance from a 4.0¢/minute Canada-USA card to an International card or vice versa. To transfer a balance, simply call Customer Service toll-free at 1-87-PCT-INFO-1 (1-877-284-6361) and follow the voice prompts for Card Linking Feature.

What is a "premium line" and where can I find those rates? |
|
Several overseas destinations charge a higher rate for calls to premium service lines, such as some hospitals and universities. To confirm if the number you are calling is considered a premium line and to check the rate, please call our Customer Service at 1-87-PCT-INFO-1 (1-877-284-6361).
